Lauren Santo began her apprentice position with Woodridge Farm last summer in 2009. Lauren had grown up with horses, but hadn't had horses in her life for a few years. She had shown horses in 4-H as a child, but now she really wanted to acquire the skills necessary for her journey with horses to continue. So she contacted us. And we are very glad she did! Working with Linda she will learn to master the intricacies of good horsemanship and also learn how to train horses.
Shortly after Lauren contacted us she became the proud owner of a palomino reining bred mare named Good and Peppy, known around the barn as Montana. Montana had some minor training issues, so Linda and Lauren set out to correct these issues and to start building a relationship between Montana and her new owner.
We are glad to say Lauren and Montana have formed a strong bond and are doing well...
Lauren travels with Linda to clinics and off-site training session. She also helps manage the barn on a day to day basis. Eventually Lauren will be available for beginner lessons at Woodridge Farm under Linda's guidance.
