Braid on Braid (Yachting Rope)

This 1/4" and 1/2" Rope is made from 16 Plait Braid on Braid Polyester Rope. It has a braided polyester core inside and a braided polyester outer cover. It has high durability, abrasion, low stretch, is unaffected by water, and UV resistance. It is made for high strength and stability. It is soft, flexible and has a nice sheen finish.

Polyester produces less friction so that means a greatly reduced chance of rope burn and less abrasion on your horse's skin. Combined with a comfortable weight in the hand this Braid on Braid rope is perfect for all natural horsemanship techniques.

Unlike cheap halter and lead cords and webbing, Polyester will not harden or powder with age and will have only minor fading over the long life of the rope. It is unaffected by water, will not rot, mold or mildew and is resistant to most acids and oils. Polyester can be washed with normal household detergents in warm water.

Doing ground work (working in hand with a halter and lead rope, or working freely at liberty) with horses is so important in building a partnership with them. Used correctly, it is an extension of your arm...NOT a whip. It is especially effective to keep distance and maintain your 'personal bubble' when you first start working with a new horse, especially one that may have fear or aggression issues. By attaching a 6ft long, 1/4" diameter progress string or savvy string to the leather tip, you add another tool that is extremely useful for touching around the body, the legs and feet and further desensitizing or cueing the horse.
